LEDs Redefine the Christmas Spirit
my-tronic Ledon Provided the LED Luminaries That Transformed Flims Into a Genuine Christmas Wonderland
Christmas 2005. Flims. The historical center of the city shines with unexpected lights. Spheres and columns of light blend like a dream with the landscape and increase the artistic impression of this city's panorama. A huge Christmas tree carries on its branches 48 Chara LED Spheres, my-tronic Ledon's bestsellers. Each LED light ball, 20 cm diameter, incorporates a controllable LED light source. A Meira 1908 Color Booster and DMX repeaters make possible the amazing light effects that transform this tree into a fantastic, yet real representation of the Christmas spirit.
Charas shine above the roads as well: a network of spheres in different sizes (40 cm and 30 cm diameter) display an assortment of light and color effects that extend the perfect harmony from the Christmas tree to the Christmas meadow. The use of some of the brightest LEDs on the market has helped my-tronic Ledon deliver Chara Spheres with increased luminosity to convert the meadow into a veritable field of light. These Charas (50 cm, 60 cm and 75 cm diameter), bigger than the ones used for the Christmas tree and the suspended network of lights, encompass controllable LED light sources with red, green, blue and amber LEDs - powered by Meira 150RF-HP.
The indisputable show of light becomes complete with the glow of the LED light towers that connect parts of the city and create an animated road. This is how Flims' Illumination redefines the Christmas spirit. The project is a perfect example of how LED lights can enhance landscape and event illumination.
