LED Applications: Multimedia Facades
Buildings Come Alive with Multimedia LED Screens
Important Building Lighting Trends: Multimedia Façades
Multimedia façades are another obvious example of how using LEDs transforms lighting from a needed science into an art. Creating multimedia façades is a challenge and that's exactly the reason why my-tronic Ledon gets involved into such projects. It's enough for a client to come with an idea and my-tronic Ledon will develop the revolutionary multimedia system needed to transform a building into a mind-blowing work of art.
Employing multimedia LED screens into architectural lighting is, as a matter of fact, a new trend. There are not many buildings in the world using such systems, but light experts and architects believe there are more to come.
Multimedia LED screens can be employed to enhance the façades of both traditional and modern buildings, helping both advertisers and building owners increase public awareness by displaying video images, (sometimes) sound and impressive light effects, always in a new, fresh manner to avoid the effect of repletion.
A clear example of what multimedia façade means is the Uniqa Tower in Vienna (my-tronic Ledon was not involved in this project, we give it here solely as an example). This is the most innovative building in Austria and its lighting, both indoors and outdoors, employs state-of-the-art LED technology.
my-tronic Ledon has developed a high-tech LED system for a multimedia project in Macao and a two other projects are now in the development phase. Once they are ready they will be added at my-tronic Ledon's LED portfolio. Subscribe to our newsletter if you'd like to receive news about our products and projects.
Important Advantages Given By the Employment of Multimedia LED Systems
- A multimedia system increases the visual identity of a building, providing for a new balance and aesthetical appearance.
- Advertising related costs are drastically reduced if multimedia systems are employed correctly.
- Environmental awareness: multimedia LED systems, as LED systems in general, are based on an environmental friendly technology. LEDs do not pollute, they need less energy than other light sources and are recyclable. These requirements have become important issues for building constructors and architects.
- Supplementary advantages: multimedia LED systems are safe and easy to use. Due to the small size of the light emitting diodes (SMD LEDs) the multimedia LED systems do not occupy bulk spaces and provide for an aesthetical façade.
