Sagitta SMD LED Strips Are Slim and Easy Adaptable to Different Applications Including Architectural LED Lighting and Event Lighting
The SMD LED Strip lights produced by my-tronic Ledon GmbH have all the attributes guaranteed by a made in Germany product: advanced LED technology, design quality and rigorous selection of components: surface mount diodes - SMD. These LED light products have been rather recently developed. The generic name branding these products is Sagitta: the arrow. This name was chosen to describe the extremely slim shape and the sharp light emitted by these LED strips.
The SMD LED strips give users important advantages. Their slim shape allows easy insertion in light objects and provides exceptional versatility for functional accents in different applications: architectural lighting, event light design, backlighting and channel lighting, edge lights and even special light effects obtained by connecting the Sagitta SMD Strips in LED networks. Sagittas have a small width so they can be used in tiny spaces on a wall, ceiling or floor, outdoors or indoors.
The surface mounted light emitting diodes (SMD LEDs) are part of the surface mount technology (SMT), which is defined as a technique for assembling electronic circuits in which the components are mounted straight onto the surface of the PCBs (printed circuit boards).
The main advantages of using SMD LEDs over the older standard LEDs are related to their smaller size, and to other special features such as: simpler automated assembly, small errors in LED placement are corrected automatically, lower lead resistance and inductance (leading to better performance for high frequency parts) and the fact that SMD LEDs are designed to be handled by machines rather than by humans.
The Sagitta strips can be manufactured with single color SMD LEDs or RGB SMD LEDs. The LED strips can be mounted in different housings, from simple aluminum rails to waterproof ones. For technical specifications, please download the pdf document.
